White's Ranch \ Sportman's Paradise day trip - December 7, 2024

We had a sunny but cold day for our final day trip of 2024 at Sportsman’s Paradise located in Paradise, Utah.

Nine members attended. The day started at 10:00 am and we were restricted to the front half of the ranch with pheasant hunters occupying the back half of the property. Fishing was slow due to clear water and bright skies. A popular fly for the morning session was a bead head hare’s ear under a chartreuse egg.

We broke for lunch at 12:30 enjoying a deep-fried trout filet with all the fixing’s, including a slice of lemon cake for dessert. After lunch the hunters were finished, and we had the full property open for fishing.

 A variety of flies were used to catch some more fish including black and brown streamers and small nymphs under an indicator.

The day ended at 5PM. The general consciences was that it was a successful trip.
